Those He Loves Best

Those who have visited James Rockwell (Proud Citizen) at his estate outside of Paragon City may have, at some point, found themselves in the ladies parlour. What they would see hanging above the fireplace are a pair of fine oil-painting portraits of the women who James has loved most dearly. On the left is his mother, Valerie Rockwell who was tragically taken from James by illness when he was only twelve years old. And of course on the right is his beautiful lady wife, Paige (a.k.a the one and only PinUp Girl).

You can see that both ladies are wearing the diamond studded star pendant that James grandfather brought back from Europe after WW2 and presented to his wife. This pendant was then passed down to their daughter Valerie when they passed away. When James' mother died the pendant was bequethed to him. He, in turn, presented it to PinUp Girl after their engagement as proof of his undying love for her.
